Started in1990 from a few local women, it is today a major reference point in the community, especially for single mothers and teenagers, two of the most affected categories. The Association’s goals are to discuss human rights, racial equality, gender and to develop resources to improve quality of life, besides creating educational opportunities for women and their children.
Currently there are 35 associates.
Some already developed activities include:
. courses in needlework, embroidery, cookery and art crafts;
. discussions about human rights, women empowerment, gender equality and cultural identity.
